American Academy of Family Physicians
The American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) is a national association of more than 80,000 family physicians, family practice residents, and medical students. The Web site is divided into two sections: AAFP Online, an area for AAFP members that requires a password for access, and Family Medicine Online, a public area available to anyone who would like more information about the medical specialty of family practice. Society of Teachers of Family Medicine
The Society was founded in 1967 to respond to the needs of family medicine educators. It has a membership of more than 4,000 teachers of family medicine. The administrative offices are housed with the American Academy of Family Physicians in Kansas City. |

WONCA World Organization of Family Doctors
WONCA is made up of national colleges, academies or organizations concerned with the academic aspects of general family practice. Beginning with 18 members in 1972, there are now 54 member organizations in 51 countries.
