Molecular physiology of development
Development of the CNS (central nervous system) is a focal point for a variety of disciplines, such as neurophysiology, cell biology, molecular biology and pharmacology. Each of these fields has made fundamental contributions in identifying components of the molecular systems that underlie inter- and intracellular communication. These signaling pathways are key in coordinating the patterns of gene activity which determine differentiation. In our efforts to understand the developmental role of intercellular signaling systems, such as neurotransmitters and their receptors, new advances in our understanding of the complex links within molecular signaling networks compel us to define a proper molecular context prior to conjecturing particular roles. As a response to the imminent challenges posed by our increasing awareness of the complex connectivity that defines biological systems, we formulate a heuristic approach that may help us to unravel the structure of the molecular signaling network underlying CNS development.

The MedWeb Multiple Choice Question Database
The MedWeb automated assessment service or MAAS consists of a database of multiple choice questions linked directly to the web via a set of custom CGI scripts. You can make up your own test or quiz of MCQs by searching for questions in the database that match a keyword you enter. Alternatively you may choose an existing pre-set quiz. The MAAS will automatically mark your questions and give you a score and feedback on your performance as appropriate.Tests include:1.Cardiovascular System 2.Respiratory System 3.Alimentary System.
